New Reseller of CADS Additive: Hexagon makes AM-Studio Data Preparation Software even More Accessible Worldwide

Hexagon

CADS Additive’s AM-Studio is arguably the most efficient path from product design to defect-free additive part. Thanks to Hexagon, the complete software solution for data preparation is now even more easily available around the world – as the Swedish group supports CADS Additive as a new distribution partner in over 100 countries worldwide.

Due to this new partnership, Hexagon now meets its customers’ additive manufacturing requirements even better. With AM-Studio, Hexagon customers produce their additive components faster, more resource-efficiently and more economically. Perfectly adapted to additive manufacturing in the Metal Powder Bed Fusion process, the software guides the user step by step through data preparation.

For Hexagon, AM-Studio completes the portfolio: In the past, the group has already offered some modules for the data preparation process. Now the entire additive manufacturing process is possible with Hexagon as a software partner.

„Adding AM-Studio to the Hexagon Additive Manufacturing ecosystem gives our customers access to an end-to-end additive manufacturing portfolio within metal powder bed fusion technology.“

Mathieu Pérennou, Director Additive Manufacturing Solutions, Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence

The Next Step in a Close Cooperation

For Hexagon and CADS Additive, the new reselling collaboration was the logical consequence of their intensive cooperation. In the past, both companies have already supported each other to further improve additive manufacturing in the SLM process.

In fall 2021 CADS Additive provided essential manufacturing data on support geometries, which made the simulation of Hexagon’s Simufact Additive brand even better. And thus also AM-Studio: Simufact Additive algorithms are now integrated in the software solution from CADS Additive.
