Design process in 8 steps

The design process in 8 steps

01

Start

Import of components to be manufactured and selection of desired machine. Choice of appropriate palette configuration for your AM-LOCK system*.

02

Orientation

Determination of the optimal position for your component via OrientationMaps.

03

Support

Aggregation of all surfaces to be supported to support regions and assignment to support structures. Choice of the ideal support types beyond the common support geometries as well as special support types.

04

Nesting

Duplication of multiple instances (copies) of a part in the form of a matrix model within the nesting. Moreover, this guarantees identical processing parameters even if changes are made.

05

Build Structure

Definition and assignment of required process parameters within the Build Strategy, by application-common as well as additional CADS Additive-specific expanded parameters. Creation of construction slices based on this.

06

Viewer

Verification of created slices within the Slice Viewer.

07

Documentation and Export

Export of data into the required and supported export format.

08

Post-Processing*

Post-processing of parts through Hirtisation®.

* Post-processing of manufactured parts can be easily integrated into the 3D-printing process through Hirtisation® combined with the AM-LOCK system.
